Customer service is terrible

My nest camera weatherproof 10m cable failed after 11 months, and Google will not honor the warranty on their own accessory.   After chatting with their support, which ended with them telling me to contact Amazon for the return knowing it was purchased 11 months ago.   I was told they cannot provide a replacement charging cabling because I didn’t buy it from the Google store.   This is ridiculous as they will not honor their own warranties.   I am now questioning all of my other Google home device purchases and will think twice about purchasing any more.    Be forewarned.
