Email Alerts just stared working again but with old NEST email address...

So all of a sudden in the last few days (today 9/13/23) I'm now getting email alerts for motion detection on my nest Gen 1 cameras.   I haven't gotten these alerts in a very long time and I don't think I changed any settings that would  bring these back.  BUT  here is the thing, the email alerts are coming to my old email address that I had  back with my original NEST account before I transitioned over to Google which is a non-gmail account.

Does anyone have any thoughts on how I can go in and stop this?  I don't want to try logging into my old nest account for fear it backfires on me and suddenly other things stop working.  Seems like the nest camera eco system is rather delicate these days.

Hi EmptyNester,

Thanks for reaching out here in the Community. To know more about this issue, I’d like to confirm, do you have other members who have access to your old account? For example, they used your other device with your old email address signed in? It won't affect anything in case you sign in your old email with the Nest app and disable the notification settings.

Best,

Emerson

Hi EmersonB,  Nope, I'm the only one with access.  I will try logging in with the old nest credentials and see if I can disable it. Strange that I have gotten no email very well over a year and now they just start up randomly.

Hi folks,

@EmptyNester, thanks for keeping us in the loop. We want to make sure that everything will be taken care of — I’ll keep this thread open and wait for your update after you logged in with your old Nest credentials and see if you can disable it.

I appreciate your input, Emerson.

Regards,

Zoe
