Front door doorbell

Doorbell no longer records sound. It’s out of warranty, I did factory reset , still no sound. Any ideas?

It's definitely no good when your doorbell isn't able to record sound. While this could be caused by damage to the camera's hardware, let's explore some other solutions to see if we can get your camera back on track!

 

I suggest checking the volume on your doorbell where the live or recorded video is being played and make sure to adjust the volume slider accordingly.

 

Make sure the audio settings on the app are correct by following these steps:

 

  • For the Home app: Tap the doorbell or camera, then tap Settings > Audio, and toggle the Microphone on.
  • For the Nest app: Tap the doorbell or camera, then tap Settings and set the Microphone to on.


Has your camera suffered any drops or been exposed to any extreme weather? Please let me know.
