Google Speakers will not connect to wifi…

We have 2 Google Home Smart Speakers and 2 Google Nest Mini Speakers and one Google Nest Hub.  The 4 speakers stopped working on the same day; hmm, something seems to have gone wrong message.  We have followed the trouble shooting guide and tried other sources of information and are unable to resolve the issue. 

When we reset the speakers and follow the process to reconnect them the connection to the wifi fails; this is a persistent problem on all 4 speakers. 

The Nest Hub continues to work throughout and can be connected and reconnected to the wifi...

Excellent response from Google Help... Called back within a minute of my request...

Solution:

  1. Power OFF All Speakers, leave Nest Hub ON as working
  2. iPhone Settings, change:
    1. iPhone Language to English(US)
    2. Region to United States
  3. Open the Google Home App on Phone
  4. Settings
  5. Google Assistant
  6. Manage all Assistant settings
  7. Languages (For speaking to your assistant)
  8. Change to English (Unites States)
  9. Close the App
  10. Power ON Speaker
  11. Reset the Speaker
  12. Open the App
  13. Devices
  14. Select +Add – Follow the setup process
  15. Reset the Language in Google Home App to English (United Kingdom)
  16. iPhone Settings, change
    1. iPhone Language to English(UK)
    2. Region to United Kingdom
  17. Check it works…

Thank you for posting. I'm glad that your Nest speakers are back to work. I really appreciate your effort to troubleshoot the issue and sharing the steps.
