spotify account won't link with google home app

I am trying to link my spotify account with my google home app. Whenever I try to use the spotify app on my google nest hub max it is telling me my account needs to be linked? I verified on my Spotify account that it is linked with my google account? The google home app is not acknowledging this?

Thanks for visiting the community.

My apologies for the delays. I know how challenging it is when your Google Nest Hub Max is not recognizing your Spotify account. Let's get to the bottom of this. A few questions: is this the first time that you link your Spotify account? What country are you located in? Is your Google Home app updated? Have you tried using a different phone/tablet?
