How do I remove a defective device from my home on Google home app?

Got a Nest WiFi point, it does not work and I have to return. But I can't remove it from my home on Google home app, and am not going to create a new home and then reinstall everything. Isn't there just an easy way to remove a device that I clearly no longer have? This is ridiculous.

Try creating a new Home and moving the devices you want to remove to that home. Then delete that home. I have done this a couple of times now with other non responsive devices.

I have multiple unknown devices connected to my wi-fi google home thing. There is no option to delete these devices. Clearly it's been hacked! All I can do is pause them nothing else. Google is trash

thanks for reaching out. We don't have a way to delete the offline devices on the Google Home app for now. These devices should fall off the list after some time if they remain offline. We appreciate people who are keen on sharing with us their thoughts. We're always looking for ways to improve and we'll take this as feedback.

Well one concern would be. You say offline, but they aren't always offline. Sometimes they are online. The only thing I can do is pause them 🤦‍♀️

Sorry I didn't realize I couldn't reply to the email. The answer is no. I have no issues with any of my other device's connection when this is happening.

Thanks for the response. It's possible that your password is compromised. Since we don't have an option to remove these devices, we would need to change your Wifi password.
