nes tapp on ipad - verification not working

Tried everything.

Working on iphone used to work on ipad.

Now asks for login. Tried google login but it goes to 2 part security but fails to send anything to my iphone or ipad.

Tried help but is way too technical and would take hours to go thru all the troubleshooting.

I guess ive bought a lemon.

Deleting nest app from ipad as it is useless if it will not let me login and will not send verification.

Do not understand what migration is all about. No explanation from google.

Do you have an Android or iPhone? When did the issue start? Also, do you still have the phone number linked to the 2-step verification?
