Hi there,

The 'Call Home' button within the Google Home app is for voice or video calling to other speakers or displays that are linked with your Google Home account.

The voice commands can be used to call people that you have stored with your Google contacts.

This feature differs in what type of calls can be made depending on where in the world you live.
