Built in Google assistant not turning on or off sony tv

Anyone have any issues turning on and off their TV lately. I'm able to use Google assitant for other commands but it won't work anymore to turn on or off my TV. I have a Sony xr80j with built in Google assistant. It was working fine for about a month and a half. Any help with this would be awesome.

Thanks for posting and sorry for the delay.

A few questions: do you have other Google Home or Google Nest speakers and displays? Is your Sony TV's software updated? Also, could you restart your router?

I got in touch with sony directly and it turns out it was an update google did. Once updated the tvs commands would not recognize "turn off" or "turn on". Instead the commands changed to "open tv" or "close tv". Google must have push another update because the tv now works with regular commands.
