Media Alarm Keeps Playing the News

The alarm app on my phone used to give me the option to turn off the news function as part of my alarm routine. Now if I tried to play my podcast it plays for 3 seconds and then cuts to the news. How can I remove the play news option on my Google clock alarm app? It says media will play after other actions, but I'd like to change the media to resume a podcast instead?

Hi Smit1,

That certainly hasn't been easy for you ― what Google Home/Nest device do you have? When did this concern start? You can follow the steps below to remove or edit your news sources.

Make sure your mobile device or tablet is connected to the same Wi-Fi network or linked to the same account as your speaker or display.
Open the Google Home app Google Home app.
At the top right, tap your account.
Verify that the Google Account shown is the one linked to your speaker or display. To switch accounts, tap another account or Add another account.
Tap Assistant settings News.
Add or remove news sources.
