Nest only controlled with Alexa, not physically

I have a nest thermostat (not learning). When I change the temperature on the actual device it does not kick on the a/c. Instead the screen goes blank and on tapping the screen, the old setting presents (nothing happened).
Using Alexa, the thermostat works and activates no problem.
how do I fix it?

Hey Geradu,

I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble with this. No worries, we'll check this out. When did it start happening? Could you check if all the wires are properly seated? Do you see a blinking LED light? If so, is it red or green? What are the power readings in Settings > Technical Info > Power? Also, what country are you located in?
