Google Home app not found on Google Play

I got a Nest for my dad and I have been trying to set it up. However, on his tablet I can't find Google Home in the Play store. It's a Lenovo TB-x103F running Android 6.0.1. can anyone advise on how to fix this or another app to use?

I am afraid Android 6 is not supported for the Google Home App.
The Google Home App requires Android 8. 🙄

Eva23456, I agree with our Product Experts. One of the requirements to download the Google Home app is that you should have an Android 8.0 or later or iOS 14.0 or later mobile device. You can check this article for more information.

You need to search on Google for "old version of google home app" the version you want is Google Home 2.50.25.3 (25025030). It requires you to install it via manually installing the .apk file. it will work, however be aware some newer features will not be present. I did the same thing on an older Samsung tablet.
