settings not showing in Google Home

I have Google Home 2.62.1.9 installed on my Galaxy A53 5G phone. I want to change the name of a connected device.

I cannot do that because when I tap on the device the Settings icon does display.

I have looked in the Settings on the Home screen but there is nothing to allow the settings icon on the individual device screen.

Any advice please?

We're sorry if you're having trouble accessing your settings in the Google Home app — let's see what's going on.

A few questions: was it working before? What device are you trying to change its name? Also, have you tried reinstalling your Google Home app?

Make sure your devices and phone are connected to the same network and within 15-20 feet of your router. Give rebooting your devices, phone and router to refresh the connection a try. If you get the same result, try using a different mobile phone to isolate.
