Nest app problem

Hi, my nest (2nd gen) controls my heating and hot water in my holiday home. The app will no longer turn the heating up or down. It is connected because the nest turns the display on the app up and down, just not the other way. I have tried a reset and turning the control off and on again. Any help gratefully received.
