Hi alygat,

Thanks for posting and welcome to the Community.

You have a great idea there however, casting music to your Nest speakers when you’re not home is not applicable. The function can only be done when your phone and your Nest speakers are on the same Wi-Fi network, under the same home structure and account.

Good thing we have another way to scare off mice. You could create routines for your speakers to play and control media. For more information on how to, check out this guide.

You can also try to use the Google Assistant on your phone to give command to your Nest speaker to play a song. For example, "Hey Google, play Iris on family room speaker". Make sure that the Google Assistant, Google Home app and your Nest speakers are on the same account.

Keep us posted.

Best,

I believe this feature used to exist, but I don't see it now:

I have two homes, and both are set up with google homes and apps. I'd like to play music at the house that I'm not currently in to help with scaring mice away. They are less likely to be bold in a house they think is occupied.

How can I set this up? I have Spotify accounts for each home so that the streaming doesn't affect each other, but Google Home is just not giving me the option to play media when I'm off the network. I'm fairly certain I used to have this option, so am I doing something wrong?
