Nest products not appearing in home app

As description says. Got a replacement thermostat from Nest and now I am unable to get it in the Home app to use on my displays.

Also anyone know if I can get my Nest Protects in the app too. (UK)

When you install a Nest Learning Thermostat or Nest Thermostat E in the Google Nest app, it is supposed to AUTOMATICALLY appear in the Google Home app, as long as it has been assigned to a "room". However, in recent months many customers in this forum have reported this isn't happening. Many of them have been able to fix the problem by going into the Google Nest app and creating a temporary second Google Nest "home/structure", then going to that empty second "home" in the Google Home app and deleting it. This seems to force the 2 apps to sync and the thermostat appears in the Google Home app.

The Nest Protects only work in the Google Nest app. ("Nest Protect and Nest Tag only appear in the Nest app.": https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9893532?hl=en.)

@SirMinstral, How's your replacement thermostat? Have you tried the steps shared by MplsCustomer? Also, please make sure that you're logged in with the same email address you used for the setup in the Nest app. Let us know if it works.
