Logged out for my own protection

I’m unable to log into Google Home. I keep getting the message I’ve been logged out for my own protection. It happened suddenly on my iPhone 12 Pro Max using iOS 16.3.1. I’ve rebooted my phone, uninstalled and reinstalled the app and nothing works.

@Thongell, thanks for reaching out. Do you know if your Google account is logged in to another device? If so, you can log out of each device and just log in to your preferred devices. Check the steps below.

Sign out on a device you no longer use:

Important: If you don’t recognize a device or there’s unfamiliar activity on your account, follow the steps to secure your account.

Go to your Google Account.
On the left navigation panel, select Security.
On the Your devices panel, select Manage all devices.
Select the device Sign out.
If multiple sessions appear with the same device name, they could all come from the same device or multiple devices. If you want to make sure there’s no account access from a device, sign out of all the sessions with this device name.

It seems that the message you received indicates that Google thinks it's detected suspicious activity that how's there may be malware on your iPhone. That's what Google says; I'm just another Google Nest customer, so I have no idea whether their detection mechanism is right or wrong.

They suspect malware, I’m aware. I can’t do anything to fix it. I just gave up!

I understand how frustrating this could be. The link MplsCustomer contains troubleshooting that you can try. Also, to isolate the issue you can try to use another phone and install Google Home app.

You message prompted me to download a few of the apps I had delegated. It’s bizarre, suddenly I can log into the gmail app and calendar. Last time I tried I wasn’t able to get into any google apps. I didn’t do anything but now I can log in. Weird.
