Sonoff SNZB-02 sensor does not appear on Google Home

Hello,

Yesterday I bought a Sonoff SNZB-02 sensor for temperature & humidity and paired it with my Tuya app via the Tuya Zigbee hub.

On Tuya app appears normally as the rest of the zigbee sensors already have,but on my Google home doesn't appears.

I've already relinked my tuya account several times with GH & restarted both apps but the problem persists.

Is there any solution to this, has anyone encountered a similar problem?

Hi Stelios,

After linking the Tuya app within the Google Home app have you instructed the Google assistant to "Hey Google, sync devices"?

Hello and thank you for your help.

I've followed your instructions re linked Tuya app and asked Assistant to synchronize devices but the sensor still doesn't appear on GH app.

Can you ask the Google assistant what the temperature is from the sensor and does it respond correctly?

Nope it doesn't work with voice command.All other ZigBee sensors work fine with voice commands.

Hi again,

After adding a new device to the Tuya app you should only need to tell the Google assistant to "Hey Google, sync devices".

I have just ordered myself this same device so I can check with my own setup.

Unfortunately it's not due to be delivered until a week or so. I will test and report back as soon as I receive it.

I have sent a report to Tuya support for this problem with the device's virtual id.

I hope that they'll update the firmware of the device via OTA and the problem will be solved.

I really think that the problem is on the firmware because is 1.0.0 and it's not supporting Google Assistant

Thanks for sharing this extra information.

The device is advertised as working with Google Home. From what I have read so far it should be accessible via voice commands but I am not sure if it will show up as a device within the Google Home app?

As soon as I receive my SONOFF SNZB-02 I will test and report back here my findings.

For the same reason I bought it but it seems maybe it only works fully with a ewelink ZigBee hub.

Hello,

I have an update regarding this sensor.

Tuya support informed me that it doesn't support Google Assistant.

So it will not work with GH.

Hi again,

I received my device today and I also can't get it to work with the Google assistant.

I have managed to use a mixture of Tuya scenes that turn on an LED lamp when the temperature reaches a certain level.

Then I use a Google home automation that activates when that device is on and runs other automations.

It's the long way of doing something that SHOULD work as advertised! I will also be contacting Sonos about why this device doesn't support the Google assistant as it is advertised to.

Hopefully they update the firmware soon.

Sensor it's just getting worse.

Gets offline most of time and I have to remove and add it again to the app.

Of course not any update for the device.

Did you find any solution contacting Sonoff?

Hello,

Already gotten latest update,the specific Sonoff device doesn't supports Google Assistant via Tuya app.

Probably supports GA when you set it up with ewelink app.
