Changing Wifi provider and updating google Home (all devices)

Being user friendly, I thought there would be an easy way to update my wifi ID and password in the google Home app, but I can't find a simple way of doing it.

The instructions say...

1. Open the Google Home app. OK
2. Tap Favourites OK and open Wi-Fi. ??? ( I don't see open Wi-FI)
3. Open network settings ??? (I don't see network settings)
Under General, enter the network name and password then select Save.

Does anyone have a better set of instructions or do I have to go to each device and reset, it which is a real pain?

Surely google have thought of this? Or perhaps not.

Sigh. Google Nest does not make it easy to change Wi-Fi settings for its devices. Their first recommendation when changing Wi-Fi routers is to set the network name (SSID) and password to the same values used on your old router/modem.

If you can't do that, then the basic process is to remove your Google Nest devices from the Google Nest app or Google Home app, do a factory reset on each device, and then reinstall each device, hoping nothing goes wrong in the process.

By the way, the instructions you referenced seem to be for changing Wi-Fi settings on a Google Wi-Fi router when you have Google Wi-Fi routers.

Thanks @MplsCustomer I've reset most of my devices although one speaker wouldn't connect to the same WIFI as the others. Instead of connecting to 5ghz it would only connect to 2.4. Strange.

The instructions were from the help screen in the app.

It will be interesting seeing how my wife gets on with this as the last time I reset them, it refused to recognise my voice and when I fixed that, it refused to recognise her voice.

I only have the doorbell to setup now.
