Google Home App - cannot play music on a google home compatible device

I have a Denon receiver S-960H which has been setup and linked as a device in my Google Home app. I can turn on and turn off the device but I cannot play music on it. The device has been nicknamed Stereo and when I give Google Home a voice command - play music on Stereo it says it cannot find any devices.

A few questions: Did it work before? Are you able to control it using its local app? Is the Google Home app updated? Also, are you using Android or iOS?

I did get it working, unfortunately the functionality is quite limited. We can close this out.
