topic Using Google Home to turn on/off lights with Smart Switch and Smart Bulb in same room in Apps / Account

Ok, got an odd one.

I have a Kasa Smart Switch controlling the Lights in my Kitchen. Saying OK Google Turn on/off Kitchen lights works fine. Today I added a Torch Light and put a Kasa Smart Bulb in it, I added it to the Kitchen group and it shows under Lights in Kitchen, but saying Ok Google Turn On/Off Lights won't turn the new light on/off.

Now if I move that Light back to the Living Room where it was originally (I just have a lot of smart bulbs there) it turns off just fine. So I'm wondering if Google doesn't like having a Switch and a Bulb in the same group.

As a work around I did buy a smart plug and plugged the Torch Lamp into it and added it to the Kitchen Group. So now I can turn that bulb on/off using Google Home because its basically cutting power to the Smart Plug. But I feel like I'm basically adding an extra step, why won't Google just turn the bulb off.
