Can't add Kasa smart bulb as device to home app

I am using a Samsung galaxy s21. I open Google home. I click add device. I search tp-link kasa. When I select this, it opens my kasa app. The kasa app says the accounts are linked. The smart bulb, which shows up in kasa, does not show up in Google home.

Thanks for posting—let's get this sorted out. A few questions: is this the first time you will link TP-Link Kasa to Google Home? Do you have household members in the Google Home app? Are you using a private or a shared Wi-Fi connection? Do you have other smart home devices linked to the Google Home app?
