Hi AK19,

Thanks for reaching out here in the Community. When connecting a Nest Doorbell to a new Wi-Fi router it will require you to reset it to factory default, remove it from the Google Home app and re-add it. Just a reminder, all of your recorded events will be deleted after the reset.

To reset your Nest Doorbell wired (In case you have the 2nd gen version).

Locate the reset pin hole on the back of the doorbell.

Tip: The reset pin on the Nest Doorbell 2nd gen (wired) is located above the QR code on the back of the doorbell.

Insert and hold the pin (you can use an unfolded paperclip or a thumbtack):

At 10 seconds, the status light will blink yellow four times, and you'll hear a countdown tone.

At 12 seconds, the status light will be steady, solid yellow while the doorbell starts the factory reset, and you'll hear a confirmation tone.

Release the button. Your doorbell will restore to its factory settings.

After the factory reset, your doorbell will appear as “Offline” in the app until you remove it.

To remove it from the app, open the app, then tap Settings> Remove device> Confirm.

Let us know how it goes.

Regards,

Google Home App Can’t Connect on Eero Wifi Network

Hi there,

I’ve had my Nest Doorbell (wired) for a few months now and it was formerly connected to my D-Link router. On wifi on my iOS devices, I was able to use the Google Home app to access the camera feed.

I recently got Eero 6+ mesh wifi in my home and my iOS devices (while on wifi) can no longer connect to the Google Home app to see the camera feed nor will it notify us when someone rings the doorbell. It will keep loading and loading with no luck, and sometimes it will say the doorbell is offline. On mobile data, we have no issues and are able to use the app to see our camera feed/receive notifications.

Any assistance with getting the Google Home app to work on my home wifi network? Thanks in advance!
