Why is it that I cannot cast straight away music to a group?

Why do I first have to cast to one device and then only I can cast to a group?

Why is it that I cannot have the alarm start casting to a group: the alarm menu shows all devices but I can choose only one.

Is there a technical reason for this?
If not why make life of users more easy?

Thanks for reaching out! I understand you need to cast music to a group and set alarms on all speakers or displays within a group.

Casting Music:
- To cast music to a group, you'll first need to create a speaker group. Please visit "Create and manage speaker groups in the Google Home app" to learn how.
- Once the group is created, you can cast music to it. Select the (group name) as the casting destination to play music on all devices within the group.
Setting Alarms:
- Currently, setting alarms to play on all devices within a group is not currently available.
- Alarms will currently play only on the speaker or display used to set the alarm.
