Hi @ascernas,

Thanks for posting in the community forum. I'm sorry to hear the morning routine isn't working with your shade devices, but you can control the devices themselves. Don't worry, let's work together to resolve this. To better assist you, I have some questions:

Is the Google Home app fully updated?

Have there been any recent changes within the Google Home app? This may include adding or removing devices, modifying routines, or linking/unlinking services.

Is your speaker or display online and functioning correctly? Can it control other smart home devices?

I also recommend you perform the following steps:

If SmartThings is still listed under “Works with Google,” try unlinking it and then relinking it. This will refresh the connection and update the list of linked devices.

Remove and re-add shades to SmartThings.

If, after relinking SmartThings to Google Home, the shades still don't appear, you might need to try removing them from SmartThings first and then re-adding them. Refer to your shade's manual and the SmartThings app instructions for the correct pairing process. After successfully adding them back to SmartThings, relink SmartThings to Google Home.

Let me know how it goes after trying these steps. I'm happy to assist further.

Cheers,
Jonathan

Hi Team,

I used to have configured our morning routines to open ours shades (Connected via Smartthings (integrated with Connector app) and it has been working for years but suddenly started noticing when the routines starts at some point says "unable to perform action (or something similar to that)" and it's the time where it supposed to open the shades.

So, I went and checked the Morning Routine and realized the Shade was not even listed anymore, so I went and looked for it and noticed the shade shows under "Adjust Home Devices", but it's no longer controllable (does not give any option to configure) and previously I was able to choose "open" or "close"

Could you guys let me know why you disable the feature to control the shades via automations?

I can control the shades directly going into it, but not via Automations

Any help will be appreciated

Regards,

Hello @sicsacol

Thank you for taking the time assisting me on this one.

Let me first clarify where the issue is:

1-I can control and do automations/routines with the Shades from the Shades proprietary app (Connector) with no issues.

2-I can control and do automations/routines with the Shades from Smartthings app with no issues

3-I can control the shades from Google Home App (going directly to the device). I can see the device percentage from 0 to 100% and can go up and down with no issues

4-I cannot longer do Automations/Routines within Google Home app. If I create a new Automation and try to add any of my shades, no matter if I try to add them on Starter or Action, it does not longer allow me to choose to Open or Close the shades (it was before)

So, this is more like a bug on Google Home app rather than an integration issue.

Currently I am running latest Google Home app: 3.32.104

Also, running latest IOS version 18.4.1 and latest Smartthings app version

Hope this clarify where the issue is

Regards,
