Changing family manager

Hello, so I started my google home years ago and used my Gmail account at the time. Since then I’ve created a new Gmail account and just added as a family member to the google family, so I have access to all of my devices. My issue now is, since the “family manager” is an inactive google account I’m looking for a way to take that one off of my google family so I can access all features with my updated Gmail as the family manager. I haven’t been able to find any options to change it without totally deleting the google family and start over.

If you remove a Google Account that you previously migrated to from a Nest Account (where you originally had a non-gmail account), you may have problems removing it:

According to Google Nest, "If you remove a person from a 'home"":

"If the person you remove from the home migrated their Nest Account and devices to a Google Account, those devices may be removed from the home. Data associated with their Nest devices and the home may be permanently deleted, including video history footage and thermostat settings."
