I have an older nest thermostat and cannot login in. I choose to reset password but I do not get any emails

What is the Nest app version?
What is your service provider?
When did you first encounter the issue? Does this happen often?

What model of Nest Thermostat do you have? the older one I have I got in approximately 8 yrs ago not sure of the model... can you tell me how to find that information

What is the make and model of your iOS device? I have an Iphone 12 pro max

What is the iOS version? 18.6.2 (22G100)

What is the Nest app version? I do not know the NEST app version, how can I look that up?

What is your service provider? provider is ATT

When did you first encounter the issue? This happened about 6-12 months after I set it up way back then and I have never be able to get it back , it works in the house I just cannot acces with my phone ( not my previous phone )

Does this happen often? has been persistent since back then

Thank you for your reply. I appreciate all the detailed information you provided.

Based on what you've shared, please try the following troubleshooting steps:

Verify Date and Time Settings Ensure your device’s Date and Time settings are correct and set automatically:

Go to Settings on your phone, then tap General, and then Date & Time.
Toggle Set Automatically off and then back on.
Verify that the timezone, date, and time are correct.

Confirm Nest App Permissions Ensure the Nest app has the necessary location permissions on your phone:

Go to Settings, then Privacy, then Location Services, and select Nest.

Perform a Full App Refresh

Uninstall the Nest app from your phone.
Power cycle your mobile device (turn it off and on).
Reinstall the Nest app on your phone.
Log in to your account.
