Tecken Smart Plug and Google Home

I'm trying to add Tecken smart sockets to a room in the Google Home app. I've linked the account in "Works with Google" and it shows "3 devices" however when I go to my list of devices available to add to a room, those devices aren't displayed as options. It's strange because these devices respond to voice commands with my google assistant. Any help would be appreciated!

Hey there,

Sorry to hear that you're having issues with setting up your smart plugs to your Google Home and getting them into a room, I'm sure it's confusing, but I'm happy to help.

Please follow these exact steps in order to get your plugs working in a room within your Google Home.

In the Google Home app, tap on the plus icon in the top left corner of the screen.
Tap on set up device.
Under "Works with Google", tap on "Have something already set up"
Tap on the search icon, then type in "Smart life"
Select "Smart Life" from the list
Type in email you used for the Smart Life app. Then click link now.
Click authorize, then wait a few seconds for accounts to be linked.
The next screen should say "Add Smart Home Devices". You can now add your Smart socket to a room.
Click the Smart socket, then the room you want it going into. Then tap "Next".
Then tap "Done".
