Seems there are many issues when migrating from an original Nest Account to a Google account for Nest devices. Have these issues been sorted out? Will I be able to use my original e-mail address - which is not gmail, once the migration is completed? Will all devices migrate with settings properly?

Hey there Gerald,

There has been some reports of issues when migrating from a Nest account to a Google account, and it doesn't seem that all of those issues are resolved. Luckily, it isn't necessary to migrate those accounts over if you don't feel the need to. However, you can check out this FAQ article about the migration if you wanted more details about the process. Aside from that, you can still use your original e-mail address to make a Google account. As for the settings, it depends on the device, so I would check out the FAQ.
