Change name of chromecast…need ex’s name off

I’ve tried going into the settings but there is no where it will let me change the name. It is currently erin and Jeff and I don’t want to see it every time I have my tv on. I Tap on the settings and it doesn’t give me any options to edit.

Hi Erin,

You should be able to change the name in the Google Home app. Open the app, then choose that Chromecast> settings cog> device name. Type over the same and get rid of your ex's name. Save.

Send a screen shot if you run into any errors or difficulty.

EDit: is this a Chromecast Built in or a device attached? If built in, you may have to open your TV settings to change the name as well.
