Nest doorbell wired(wired) wall plate

Hi guys,

When installing my new Nest doorbell(wired), the instructions for removing the doorbell from the plate weren't very clear and I accidentally snapped the top clip. Now the doorbell doesn't stay secure without some sticky tape. Is it possible to get a replacement? I can't seem to find it anywhere. Thanks very much.

The wall mount issue has been addressed, I mounted it this afternoon. I am now dealing with low power indication to my wired doorbell. Will be de-installing and checking wiring voltages to ensure my transformer is adequate, or I may have to replace the transformer/doorbell assembly. Doorbell itself rings, just I can't do video at this moment.

Two notes (feedback/suggestions):

- When I turned on power, after booting, I got the yellow ring stating there wasn't enough power, and I started researching troubleshooting methods. However, since it was late, I left it for this morning. Well, when I went to the doorbell this morning, the ring was blue! Evidently, there is a battery in the wired doorbell version, and no mention of charge time for this unit is covered in any of the installation correspondence, either print or video, anywhere that I could find.

- Also, in the forum, why isn't there a selection for Nest Doorbell (Wired) to differentiate from the battery version?

Thank you for your feedback on this! So, the Nest Doorbell (battery) was released this last year in 2021. It is the Nest Doorbell Battery, but you can wired it in. It still has an internal battery which can go low and deplete if there is no power connected to it. Think of the battery as a backup of sorts. It's the same device whether you Wire it in, or leave it as a Battery doorbell. I hope that makes sense. I will forward your feedback though!
