Adding an existing TV to Google home

Does anyone know how to add an existing TV to the Google Home app? The support link I found says to scroll down to local devices after opening the app, but there is no such option. I've tried setting up through the menus from the plus sign in the top left corner, but the app doesn't see the TV.

Backstory: I bought a new TV and installed it today, and was able to set it up through the Google home app...so the app sees that one. The old TV, I moved downstairs and was never setup through the home app, but it's on my network, logged into my account, etc. That's the TV I'm having trouble adding. I really don't want to do a factory reset on it just to add it to the home app - there has to be an easier way...
