Work wifi unwanted devices

Our company gave us all Google nest hubs for Xmas bonuses and I took mine home and set it up. Well now since my phone is connected to the work wifi everyone who uses thier nest at work on the same wifi is automatically connecting to my google home! I can see what all devices are doing. How can I stop this from happening? And remove them?

After initial setup from home, did you end up taking the Nest Hub back to your workplace (i.e. placing it on your desk)? Or is it currently at home (on your own WiFi)? If it's at home and people from work are able to connect to it (which they shouldn't), then I highly suggest factory resetting it. Otherwise if you currently have it at work you can try to access the Nest Hub setting via the Google Home app and do one of two things. 1. Create a new "Home" for the Nest Hub (this should prevent other people from connecting to it). 2. Disable "Let others control your cast media" found under the Sharing settings of the Nest Hub.

The nest hub is at my house on a separate wifi. However I have the Google app on my phone so wen I get to work all the other nest hubs that are at my work auto connect to my google home app. I'm able to see and connect to all of them including the one at my house.

@Aaron14, thanks for all the details you've shared. Based on what you described, it is normal that you can see all the Google Home/Nest speakers on your phone because you share the same Wi-Fi network. That's how Google Home/Nest speakers worked way from the beginning. I understand that you want to be more organized and it's not tidy having to see those devices available on the app eventhough you don't want to control them.
