Nest Outdoor Camera USB-C charging ?

Although I love the magnetic connector on the outdoor Nest camera, with the laws in the EU and India obliging a range of devices to offer USB-C charging, will there be a redesign with USB-C charging ?

I do not believe that the EU legislation requires wireless (battery powered) cameras to use the interface, but would expect the legislation to expand to include them at some point.

Does anybody know anything about this ?
