Doorbell fail to attach to mount plate

I’ve just removed my doorbell to charge it, I’ve had it 2 months, this is the second time charging.

now it won’t reattach to the mounting plate. It activates but no click so just falls off the plate.

i suspect the fault is with the release mechanism

any ideas?

A few customers in this forum have tried applying a tiny amount of WD-40 to the release mechanism to get it to work.

You might want to check if there's any debris or obstruction preventing the doorbell from securely clicking into place on the mount. If the issue persists, contacting customer support for a potential replacement or further troubleshooting could be helpful.

This has happened to me for the fourth time. The little black button on the back doesn't pop out to attached. Just out of warranty so will not be buying again. Going to start getting rid of all my Google items the quality and longevity are not there.
