notifications and home app

when I get notified of an event, when I click on the notification I get taken to the home app's main page but once there nothing happens. when I click on an alert that comes from a camera still available on the best app, I get taken to nest app and see I see the event. is there a setting in the home app or settings in notifications that I need to change for the home app so that when I click on a notification I get taken to the cameras event page and not a 'blank' home page? thanks
