    <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;a href="https://www.googlenestcommunity.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/460720"&gt;@DanCanGa&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;We've had our battery camera plugged in with the optional 10 meter (32 foot) power cable (&lt;A href="https://store.google.com/product/nest_cam_weatherproof_cable" target="_blank"&gt;https://store.google.com/product/nest_cam_weatherproof_cable&lt;/A&gt;) since Sept. 2021 and it stays charged all the time.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Based on reports from other customers, it seems that if you plug in your camera AFTER it has been installed in the Google &lt;STRONG&gt;Home app&lt;/STRONG&gt;, you may have to remove it, factory reset it, and reinstall it if you plug it in later, so that the Google &lt;STRONG&gt;Home app&lt;/STRONG&gt; recognizes that it is plugged in. (There is no setting for this.)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Also, based on reports in this forum, I'm not sure it works well to use the 1 meter charging cord that comes with the camera to keep it plugged in.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I like to have my cameras connected all the time but one of them is away from an electrical outlet. If i use a 24 feet long extension cord, will i need a different charger? In case your answer is yes, any idea of the watts needed?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The original charger (indoor) is different than the long cord for outdoors (wattage)?&lt;/P&gt;</description>
