Google nest cam not turning on after being unplugged/off for over a year

Hi there,

I'm trying to get my nest cams working after having them in their box for over a year, maybe closer to 2 years. I removed them from my google home app because I didn't really think I'd need them again but now I do.

I've had one plugged in for half an hour now and no light has come on at all. I've tried different outlets and still no light. I've also tried holding the button on the bottom down for 5 seconds to reset and no light. Where do I go from here? 😞

Since you have battery cameras and they haven't been used or charged for a year or two, have you tried charging them for at least 5 hours?

Holding down the reset button for 5 seconds is just a restart; a factory reset takes at least 12 seconds.
