None of Google Nest's cameras and doorbells are really designed to be taken apart by the customer for servicing or repair.

For example, see this iFixit post on how to replace the internal battery on the Google Nest Hello Doorbell Doorbell; it's not simple or easy:

You do NOT take the cover off.

If you have the 2nd gen Google Nest Doorbell, the reset hole, which is large enough to insert a paperclip or thumbtack, is on the BACK of the doorbell, inside the blue square marked in the factory reset instructions.

If you are talking about how to DISMOUNT the doorbell, see the mounting and dismounting instructions in the installation video, starting at about 8:25:

As pointed out in the video, if you don't have the hex key, you can use a 3/32nd or 2.5mm hex key or Allen wrench.

I don't know what else to suggest. If you have a 2nd gen Google Nest Doorbell (your post says you have a gray Google Doorbell) and if it was installed with the Google Nest mounting plate as shown in the installation video, then it should be secured with a hex screw at the top of the mounting. plate. If it was mounted in some other, non-standard way, I don't know what to suggest.

If you actually have a 1st gen Google Nest Hello Doorbell, which is smaller and has white sides and a black face, then you can see the mount and dismount instructions on the video in this Help topic, starting at about 6:23:

I don't know what else to suggest. If you have a 2nd gen Google Nest Doorbell that was mounted on the provided mounting plate, there has to be a threaded hole at the top of the mounting plate for the hex screw that secures the doorbell. If the previous owner omitted the screw, you should be able to dismount the doorbell by lifting up and then out, as shown in the video.

If you have a 1st gen Google Nest Hello Doorbell that was mounted on the provided mounting plate, there has to be a pinhole at the bottom of the mounting plate.

If the previous owner didn't use the provided mounting plate, or if the mounting plate was defective and didn't have the required hole, I don't know what to suggest.

You could try attaching a photo of the top of your doorbell (if you have a 2nd gen Google Nest Doorbell) or the bottom of your doorbell (if you have a 1st gen Google Nest Hello Doorbell). (You have to be logged into this forum before posting a reply in order to get the camera icon that allows you to attach a photo.)

Ah! You have a Google Nest Battery Doorbell, which is NOT secured with a hex screw (and your doorbell was mounted with a wedge. (I didn't think of this because your post says you have a 2nd gen Google Nest wired doorbell.)

At the top of your doorbell there is a small, narrow slot in your mounting bracket, just behind the camera. You have to insert the release tool or a small paperclip in that slot to dismount your doorbell.

See the second installation video here, starting at about 4:12, for how the doorbell is mounted and dismounted. If you don't have that release tool, you can use a paperclip or even a very small flathead screwdriver.

Thanks so much for your help, I am new to these doorbells it was here when we just moved in. Someone else told me I had the other model.
