      <description>&lt;P&gt;I bought a Google Nest doorbell that is battery operated. I do not have an existing doorbell. Will a Google nest mini Work with my Google Nest doorbell so that either an alert or a chime will be played when someone presses the doorbell?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;a href="https://www.googlenestcommunity.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/652811"&gt;@larchwood1205&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;You should be able to turn on "&lt;EM&gt;Visitor announcements&lt;/EM&gt;" (&lt;A href="https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/7672451" target="_blank"&gt;https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/7672451&lt;/A&gt;) for your battery doorbell to get a ding-dong doorbell sound and an oral "&lt;EM&gt;Someone's at the front door"&lt;/EM&gt; announcement on your Nest Mini, as long as it is in the same Google Nest "&lt;EM&gt;home/structure&lt;/EM&gt;" as your doorbell.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;However, I've seen a few posts in this forum from customers having trouble getting this to work with the battery doorbell.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;(It works with our three 1st gen Google Nest Hello Doorbells and our Nest Mini and Nest Hubs.)&lt;/P&gt;</description>
