My Nest hub volume gets turned down low when some users (my kids) interact with it. When it’s left below 20% the Google doorbell isn’t heard. So when it’s rung the digital announcer is not audible in the room on this device. I really need to set a minimum ring volume on the hub. Is that possible to do as I can’t see that option in any settings? Please help. Thanks.

Thanks. Thats too bad. Do you have any simple recommendations to avoid missing the doorbell? The only thing I can think is to buy another device such as a Mini to add in the same area that might also respond with the visitor announcement at a preset volume?

Hi @CheHuot,

Thank you for posting in the community. I understand you're wondering if your Nest Hub has separate volume control for "Visitor announcements," as you can barely hear the doorbell ring when someone is using your Nest Hub device. I'm happy to assist you.

The best option for your scenario, as you previously mentioned, is to have a separate speaker set up in the Google Home app with 'visitor announcements' enabled.

I understand this feature may be useful, considering your needs and the needs of all Nest users.
We're always looking for ways to improve, and we appreciate your feedback.

Let me know if you have more questions.

Regards,

Anders
