Shattered Lense

I purchased a nest doorbell a few years ago and noticed the lense was shattered, even though it was securely mounted. (It hadn't fallen) I was out of warranty, assumed it was a neighbor kid or animal, so I decided to just buy another one.

Today the same thing has happened to the replacement, which is making me think it's because of big temperature fluctuations. (One day might be 65° and the very next day it's 18°)

If that's the problem, this is just going to keep happening. What can I do?

Hmmmm, this is very odd. I have been reading this forum every week for about 4 years and I have never heard of this happening because of temperature swings. I have the original GEN 1 doorbell and also live in a place where the temps swing a lot.

I agree with emptynester ... And I have the 1st gen hello in Canada... We can have huge temperature swings with no issues.

Have you looked at your footage to see if you can pinpoint when it happens ? Possible you have someone loving nearby doing it on purpose ?
