Maybe they aren't, but everything I just posted makes it easy to come to this conclusion.

If they are, It would probably be dependent on the server load in your region.

Same here. Been going on only the last few weeks as well. I also have an indoor camera doing this. Seriously considering going to Unifi cameras. Nest has been nothing but problems.

It seems to me like Google is cutting streams during peak hours. I say this because my cameras are never really offline. If I check my router (eero 7 Max), the cameras are still connected and sending data in both directions. If I walk in front of the cameras, the streams come back online. There are no gaps of time showing as offline in the app once the camera comes back online either. Seems to me like Google is cutting streams during peak hours to lighten the load on their servers.

Hi @STOPchris!

Thank you for posting in the community, and to @MplsCustomer for jumping in! I understand you're wondering if Google is limiting streams during peak hours, especially considering your Nest Doorbell and Nest Cam Indoor appear to be connected to your eero 7 Max router and aren't showing as offline in the app, but the live feed is not working. I appreciate your efforts in taking those steps before. I'm happy to help you!

This behavior can actually stem from several factors. Wi-Fi interference or local network congestion can degrade the signal, causing drops. Additionally, insufficient upload bandwidth from your internet or specific router/firewall settings prioritizing other traffic can be culprits.

To help me find the best solution, I'll need to ask you a few questions:

What specific model of Nest Doorbell and Nest Cam Indoor do you have? Here's an article that can help you identify it: Technical specs for Nest cameras and doorbells.

Have you noticed if this issue occurs at specific times of day or days of the week? For example, does "peak hours" refer to certain times you've observed this happening most frequently?

Have you made any changes to your Wi-Fi network?

Please keep me posted. I'll be waiting for your response.

Best regards,
Geremi
