Does Nest Doorbell (battery) or the camera (battery) record an event if viewing LIVE on your phone while it is on battery power and not plugged in?

We are just another Google Nest customer that has one of the new Google Nest Battery Cameras, but it's plugged in.

I checked the "Included history" and "Local storage fallback sections", but it's not entirely clear. The impression I get is that in battery mode it only records clips of events.

And the Google Nest Help website (https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9681538?hl=en) says this:

"The Nest Cam (battery) must be connected to a power source to have 24/7 video history. If your camera is battery powered, it will only have event video history, even if you have a Nest Aware Plus subscription. 24/7 video history is not available for the Nest Doorbell (battery), even with optional wired installation."
