Start notification on nest speaker when someone pushes nest doorbell

Hello,

With my previous nest doorbell I made an automation that when my doorbell was pushed, the nest speaker volume went up and started playing an announcement. After installing my replacement nest doorbell this no longer seems possible. I cannot find the event that indicates the doorbell is rang.

Thank you for reaching out to the community. I see you’re having trouble starting your automation where the Nest Doorbell is pushed the button your Nest Speaker volume up and makes an announcement. Specifically after you replace your Nest Doorbell; and now you're having a hard time finding the event history when the doorbell is ringing in the app. But don’t worry, I’m here to help.

For further assistance, please answer the following:

Which model of Nest Doorbell do you have? (Here is a helpful article to check Technical specs for Nest Doorbells.)
Is this a household or personal routine?
Did you receive an error message, a notification, or a verbal response from your Google Assistant device when the action failed?
Is the “Activate Routine” toggle enabled?
Are you able to select a playback device in the 'Device for audio' section?
Have you confirmed if your devices aren’t in 'Do Not Disturb' mode?

Hello Byron,

thanks a lot for your help. One of your questions pointed me to the solution: Is this a household or personal routine. In fact I am from Belgium and speak Dutch so my Iphone is configured in Dutch. The google home app in Dutch does not seem to have the same functionalities as in English. I switched my Iphone to English only and now I am able to select the correct starter event; Doorbell rings. So now I was able to complete my automation and send the notification to my nest speaker when someone rings the doorbell.
