But maybe the setup for the new doorbell in the Google Home app is the same as for the old Google Nest Hello Doorbells in the Google Nest app. On our doorbells, there's a "Visitor Announcements" option for each doorbell--at the doorbell level--and the announcement just gets broadcast to all Google Nest Hubs and Minis.

I've seen posts where other customers have said it would be nice to enable "Visitor Announcements" for each Hub or Mini.

Hi, we are in the early stages of setting up a new doorbell battery version to our home which already has 5 Google Home Hub/Mini devices. I have noticed when the doorbell is pressed we get an alert spoken through every one of the devices on every room. How do I go about setting up so that the alert only comes through say 2 of the 5 devices? I can't seem to find an option in the Home app. TY 🙏

Hi, thanks for the reply. Yes I see the visitor announcement and notifications are either just On or Off, doesn't appear to be any option to tailor to each device. That's a real shame! I have a Nest Mini in my daughter's room, I'm hoping as I've set it to Downtime between 20.30-8.00am that it won't alert if the doorbell is activated within those times?

Hopefully, for your daughter's sake (and yours), that works. This Google Nest Help page (https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9141231?hl=en) says "You won't receive notifications on your device." You could always test it with a different schedule when she's awake just to make sure.

I am tired of this crap since google took 0ver the Nest product! We purchased Nest and should not have to rely on a forum to get answers to our problems! You had a contact number, which is answered by am very rude person! Is there a reason you cannot put a number where people can talk to a person! I’ve been with Nest for more than seven years. Since I’ve had Google nest, nothing but problems. Like the other fellow said you up in your prices and give less stuff. There’s nothing to alert people on what the heck you’re doing. If I don’t hear from somebody, I’ll return all my Nest products and start with something else that works! Can you not give me a number so I can telephone you? I have Nest Aware and cannot get more than 2 days recording. It used to record 24/7. If you have used the price no one sent info on that. After 7 yrs using Nest it makes me angry that I have to switch products. If I hear nothing in the next few days, I’ll post bad reviews about Google Nest wherever I can. I even went into Best Buy and they know nothing. Pretty soon they’ll stop selling it if people complain That it doesn’t work!
