Saving close in area of clip--without NEST word in clip

When saving a video clip, does anyone know how to save just an area of a clip? Someone stole a Christmas tree from our front yard and I can't seem to save that area of clip only. When I try, I get a picture on picture in that area that blocks the view. Also, the word NEST is right on the area where you can see the person stealing the tree. How do I get rid of that?
