Nest Doorbell set up

I am trying to set up Nest Doorbell on my iphone. I open the Google Home app and it asks what type of device I'm setting up. When I choose doorbell it says to use the Nest App. When I go over to Nest App it asks to scan QR code. When I scan it it says to set up on Google Home....so I'm in a endless loop????? Any suggestions?

There was a post recently about this same dilemma, and the customer was able to resolve it by updating the Google Home app (https://www.googlenestcommunity.com/t5/Cameras-and-Doorbells/Nest-Cam-install-loop-Google-Home-app-sendsme-to-Nest-App-Nest/m-p/60009).
