Playback control button obstructs viewing video

I can't for the life of me figure out why the video controls (start/stop) are embedded in the middle of the viewing screen and remain embedded throughout viewing video. It obstructs the main area of detectable movement so in order to view anything, it becomes a game of stopping the playback and enlarging or moving the focus so that the button is not in the way of the movement. Why would anyone want a black button in the middle of a video? This is really, really poor design.

lol, you noticed that too? Can't help but notice right? I agree, should be on the bottom or only remain (timemout) for about 2-3 seconds. If you tap anywhere else on the screen the controls will disappear, and a tap again brings them back.
