Migrated Nest cams missing History in Google Home

I expanded my Nest network with 2 floodlight cams, and migrated my existing Nest Account with an Indoor Cam and wired Doorbell Cam. Everything can be accessed in Google Home, but when viewing the feed on older cameras, there is no History button (next the the Live button) at the bottom of the screen. Strangely, events are available by clicking the event button (icon at bottom right from the main app page) for all cameras. Is there something I can do to make events accessible directly on my older camera feeds like they are for newer cameras?

This 2-app approach is deliberate on the part of Google Nest. HIstory for our older cameras can only be viewed in the Google Nest app while history for our newer cameras released starting in the fall of 2021 can only be viewed in the Google Home app.

You can read Google's rationale for this in these blog posts in this forum--along with considerable customer reaction. In the first blog post, dated Sept. 29, 2021, Google says: "we are committed to bringing the experiences and Nest devices you have come to love in the Nest app into the Home app." It hasn't happened yet, so since we bought a Google Nest Camera (Battery) in September 2021 we've had to use 2 apps.

I would like to know when older device history can be viewed through the google home app. Having 2 apps for different cameras is not ideal.

I am afraid I do not have an ETA to provide you with. I know the option for a Google Home web app is coming, I just do not have any confirmation of a date.
